Niye`a

Niye`a is a new digital system designed to combat physical and verbal forms of bullying in Education Institutes. This autonomous concept enables bullying victims to report bullying activities electronically to a teacher in charge of welfare before the activity occurs. It has been made possible by means of a high-tech PXR Hyper-link system.

The system consists of a 5KHz wireless communication network platform and a sound recognition locator. Both the network and voice recognition locator have been engineered to provide a ‘touch connect’ facility. This means, one does not have to trouble themselves sending a message or dialling their teacher on their cell phone to notify them of physical or verbal bullying about to occur.

With the touch of a button, the teacher is made aware of an activity occurring, and is also able to capture visually, the interactions between the involved parties. Niye`a is placed in hotspot locations around the school. Hotspots are areas where the highest number of bullying incidences are recorded.

These areas include toilets and sports grounds.
